Out of the Cellar is the debut studio album by the American heavy metal band Ratt. Released in 1984, it was an immediate success, with wide airplay on radio and heavy rotation on MTV of its singles, especially the decade-defining 'Round and Round'. The album is certified as triple platinum by the RIAA.[6] The album brought Ratt to the top of the glam metal scene in Los Angeles. Ratt's later work would never surpass the success of Out of the Cellar.[2][7][8]

Songs[edit]
Produced by Beau Hill, Out of the Cellar features Ratt's best-known hit, 'Round and Round'. It also contains other popular songs such as 'Wanted Man', 'Lack of Communication' and a re-recorded version of 'Back for More'. The latter song originally appeared on the EP Ratt. 'In Your Direction' was a song that Pearcy wrote when the band was still called Mickey Ratt; 'I'm Insane' and 'Scene of the Crime' were songs Crosby had co-written and performed with his pre-Ratt band, Mac Meda, featuring future Riverdogs vocalist Rob Lamothe. In 2008, 'Round and Round' and 'I'm Insane' were featured in The Wrestler.
'Wanted Man' was co-written by bassist Joey Cristofanilli, who had briefly substituted for Juan Croucier.

The model on the album cover is Tawny Kitaen, better known for her appearances in Whitesnakemusic videos, and the same year's teen-aimed film Bachelor Party. As she was the long-time girlfriend to guitarist Robbin Crosby at that time, Kitaen also appeared in the 'Back for More' music video.

RATT - Original Album Series Box Set Sees First Five CDs Remastered
March 4, 2013, 6 years ago
Although RATT will start working on a new record this year, Warner Bros. UK have reissued the band's first five albums under the Original Album Series including 1984's Out Of The Cellar, 1985's Invasion Of Your Privacy, 1986's Dancing Undercover, 1988's Reach For The Sky and 1990's Detonator.
A description reads: 'The five CD box set contains a quintet of albums packaged in cardboard mini LP sleeves and housed in a slipcase. This collection of Ratt's first five albums covers the years from 1984 to 1990 that saw them have significant commercial success. Tracks such as 'Round And Round,' 'Wanted Man' and 'Lay It Down' helped define the glam metal genre, while their later output such as 'Way Cool Jr.' and 'I Want A Woman' featured heavily on MTV. Originally hailing from San Diego California, Ratt were a key figure in the formation of the '80s Los Angeles hard rock and glam metal scene.'
Rock' e 'Driving on E'.
Posteriormente, o EP seria lançado na Europa pela gravadora Music for Nations, contendo uma faixa extra, 'You're in Trouble'.
Ela também fez uma aparição no videoclipe de 'Back for More'.
Em 1988 saiu 'Reach for the Sky'.
Nessa época Robbin Crosby deixa a banda.
Guns. Texto:Wikipédia.Site Oficial.
